I cannot change the time and date

what happens when you mouse left click on that padlock ?I cannot change the time and date there is a padlock sign

Click on the Unlock button, then you should get a popup asking for your password, enter your password and you should be able to ad just the time. For example switch the hour to 22 then click in the top right corner where the clock is and it should change. I just the same on one of my virtual machines running ParrotOS.I cannot change the time and date

sudo apt remove mate-desktop-environment
sudo apt reinstall xfce4
I have not removed MATE I scared, if I get problemsI remember you were wanting to remove MATE desktop in your previous post. First try remove that MATE.
Then try to reinstall xfce4.Code:sudo apt remove mate-desktop-environment
Code:sudo apt reinstall xfce4
