Hey folks!

I am new to Linux operating system and currently stuck between the choice of mint and Ubuntu. I prefer the look and the style of Ubuntu but I was told mint is great for the new Linux users.

Anyone have any quick tips and bits of information worth noting?

Welcome aboard, mate. I have not used Ubuntu, But I am using Mint cinnamon on this drive, and found it to be very easy to set up and use. Anyone out there using Ubuntu want to add your 2 cents worth?

I decided to go with Ubuntu in the end and made a bootable usb for it and I will eventually install it on to an SSD once I get the chance but I have a feeling I will have to unplug my other hard drives as ubuntu is not picking up the SSD (even though windows does).
