Dear community,

I have two computers (PC and notebook), both running on Linux Mint 20.2 Uma, Xfce. I synchronize my personal data (not the linux system) with a Synology Nas.

Since I began to learn web development I installed mysql. In order have the databases synchronized I placed them in my data folder instead of the default directory.

Now I ran into the problem that my synchonisation software (Synology Drive) is not able to read the data because the owner of the files and directories is "mysql" instead of me.

As a beginner with linux (only 3 months experience) I am requesting your help. I am sure this is not a problem for a professional. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Gerhard
