How do I Change my Photo?

I am fairly new to Ubuntu, have version 13.04, and would like to understand how to do the following:

I have a photo, which is used when I post to various threads, but I would like to change it: how do I do this? Thanks in advance for your help!

When you say "I post to various threads" do you mean that you post to various different sites? ...Because you only have one post here.

If the former, there is no universal one change changes all. You need to approach it on a site by site basis and different sites can be ...well... different.

If you mean the latter, roll over you name above where is says [username] Inbox Alerts and go down to Avatar.
