I'm installing Linux Mint on a very old PC and there seems to be a problem with booting. A process was run to develop a report which came up with the following: htpps://paste.ubuntu.com/p/xgj2ZW86jM/
If anyone could offer some help or enlighten me, I would be most grateful.
Cheers

Hi there :) the paste does not exist, even if I replace htpps:// by https:// you sure, you have no typo?

Welcome.
Firstly, it is not considderd good practice to ask the same questions on multiple forums
Second, xgj2ZW86jM is not recognised bu the Ubuntu system
thirdly, if you have an old computer then your question is pointless unless you tell us what the machine is, what OS it has, if you are installing Bare mettle [solely to the hard drive] or in a multiboot [with other OS's]

Are you booting from a USB flash drive or are you booting from a DVD drive.

I'm using a 17 year old desktop computer which will not boot from a Usb flash so I have to boot and install from a DVD drive.

Where did you download the iso from.

How did you create the bootable media.

All of these questions are important and need to be answered in order to find a proper solution.

Welcome to Linux.org forums.

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. The resolution was to download and verify another iso and flash this to USB. The OS is now installed and running well. I was very pleasantly surprised as to how quick this OS is even on very old ( 20+ years old) hardware.
