Help to understand directions

Hi there, I am new to linux. I am trying to install a software. Readme file says to:

"Make a copy of the file to a location in your manual system"

What does it mean by "manual system"?

Which distro and what software are you trying to install?
I can only guess what they may mean by Manual system. There in not really anything called that in most Linux Distros.
So give us a bit more to go on.
