Its almost been a year since I got this Tux and I want to know more about where it came from(Was it given out, is it from some sort of event etc).
I can't find any images of it when I search the text on it nor when I search "Tux Hewlett Packard", "Linux tux powered by Hewlett Packard " I only managed to find this: https://www.hp.com/hpinfo/execteam/speeches/fiorina/linux_02.html

It oozes of 'conference swag'. HP gave it away at some convention or conference, trying to make themselves remarkable, as a form of advertising.

Judging by the condition, it was poorly made, given out quite some time ago, or both. It's swag, so it's not like they spend a lot on them. You likely got it by stopping by their booth and asking for one, or they came in a basket of goodies (really, a bag more often than a basket) at a more topical conference - such as a Linux conference where HP was a sponsor.

More than that I can't say. You'd have to find someone who knew which convention it came from.
