Help! Changed hardware.

Upgraded motherboard, processor and ram, on old vista computer haveing setbacks trying to reinstall, I have to use a flash drive. Can I install Linux and be good? What's the simplest form of Linux, as I only know slit le python. Pls help me make the jump!
 


Auto correct, I ment a little bit of python. And 8 gigs.

With 8Gb of RAM you should be able to run any distro you want.

Try "Googling": linux simple
You will find things like: https://www.linuxliteos.com/
and: http://semplice-linux.org/ (...but then semplice is Italian for simple...)

Recommended "newbie" distros are Ubuntu and Linux Mint.
 
I agree with Arochester and Richard, Ubuntu may be your best choice.
 
Go for Ubuntu mate, i have been using the same since long and i completely recommend it.
