Hello everybody.
Newbie here, I just started using Linux about a month ago and since yesterday, with the help of some amazing people here, I sorted my new computer with a slick Linux Ubuntu os.
Not very advanced in computer skills, I've learned computers with a windows 2.8 and my first computer was a 386 with a 60 or 80 mb hdd and about 4 mb ram memory if I remember good and that was very an amazing step since I was able to run windows 3.0 with the click right function of the mouse. The guy who taught me the first things about computers told me that Linux is for hackers, very difficult to use, the government hates those people and other enough reasons to make me never really looked into Linux after. Since then many things have changed (starting with developing some sort of f..k the government mentality, ha ha). I never went too much into computers but it was something that was always interested in and I would like to learn programming maybe so if any of you good people have and directions to point me at, I will be grateful.
I am born in Romania but I've lived most of my adult life outside, mostly in the middle east (turkey and egypt), working as a scuba diving instructor. Currently living in Denmark doing something completely unrelated with diving.
Peace to all and I am looking forward to meet a new tribe
