I will admit that The Lord of the Rings movies really first showed me the awesome beauty of NZ. I'm a big fan of books and movies. I am such a geek that you can find my name (and my wife) in the fan club credits of all three of the extended edition DVD's for LotR.

The thing you'll find is that each Island has different scenery even the towns and different areas of country vary greatly.

Nice videos, and some very nice scenery. I did not realize that they had the life guard competition. Rowing those boats through the surf looks extremely difficult. Not hard to believe that they sometimes (?) end up with no crew. Thanks for sharing that with us, mate!
