so, i have an ALC662 chip. But i cant see a HDMI-Audio Device. The GFX Card is an Intel GM 965 and works fine with HDMI-Video ( debian 11 ). On Windows 7, all things working fine. HDMI-Audio and HDMI-Video.

Can anybody help me to get the HDMI-Audio working on linux? i have tried many linux-distributions without any luck. i am going crazy ...
 


This is a shot in the dark.

Open 'pavucontrol' (install it necessary) and check the Output tab. There should be a drop-down menu and you can see if your HDMI is listed there. You can also flip through the other tabs to see if something else is amiss.
 
No, it may be the right way - we won't know until you try it. You may have to first change it in the configuration tab. Done properly, it looks a little something like this:

You should probably edit your first post to include that nugget of information.
