Hello. I bought the laptop a few days ago without an operating system. Since then I tried to install Ubuntu and was challenged with several errors. I used 'Rufus' to create UEFI and BIOS/UEFI bootable USB, and every time I selected Ubuntu to be installed, the computer showed the following errors, in the corresponding order:

(1) https://askubuntu.com/questions/125...error-messages-before-ubuntu-20-04-starts-nor
(2) https://askubuntu.com/questions/598417/nouveau-unknown-chipset-on-installer
(3) https://askubuntu.com/questions/154...o-find-a-medium-containing-a-live-file-system

When I press F2, I see the Lenovo panel, and that the Secure Boot is disabled and the mode is UEFI.

Before delving too deep, try again with Balena Etcher, instead of Rufus.

Ok.. the ideal pad 5pro comes in several forms with 11th gen intel or AMD Ryzen cpu's both of thease are fairly new and need the latest kernel to ensure a better chance of the drivers being available..

however as you are not even making it to the install stage , I suspect you have a problem with the install medium, either a corrupt download , a bad burn of the iso [see @KGIII suggestion], or even the pendrive may be problematic [if its an old pendrive ensure you re-format to fats32 before you try and burn your ISO]

Oh, to add to the above, be sure to verify the integrity of the .iso. It'll vary a bit depending on the distro, but it's usually explained how to do so on the download page.

I tried to flash the ISO with "BalenaEtcher" as @KGIII suggested but it didn't work.
When I try to install Ubuntu, I first get to the following page:
https://prnt.sc/20sp58h

Then, after pressing on the first option, I get to this page:
https://prnt.sc/20sp5nj

After I get to the last page, I'm stuck. Then I remove the USB and press CTRL+ALT+DELET to refresh and the computer makes a fan noise - I'm worried that all of this On/Off and attempts may 'break' the computer... Do any of you have more suggestions?

I am unable to see any of those (presumed) images.

(No, these on/off cycles shouldn't break anything.)

Seeing as you're getting to the screen where you're hitting enter to reboot - that *suggests* that you've gone through the installer - or you're rebooting/shutting down.

When booting to the live USB, have you tried 'safe graphics' mode?

I got to the screen where you press enter on the 'Ubuntu' option.
I pressed F2 and entered the Lenovo panel (I think it's the BIOS), I don't see any 'Safe Graphics' mode...

No, no... Safe Graphics is an Ubuntu option. You won't see it by default.

Immediately after selecting your boot device, start pressing the SHIFT key. Then you pick your language. Your goal is to get to this screen:

Lubuntu Testing [Running] - Oracle VM VirtualBox_005.png

For some unknown reason, exactly none of those screenshots work for me.

@brickwizard The installation is not fine... Look at the second image.
The Secure Boot option is disabled and it still gives the same problem.

@KGIII Try to open them in the incognito mode.

Oddly, still a no-go. I even tried without any browser extensions. They might hate my VPN and see it as abusive traffic, so maybe that's it.
