I know there are several ham radio lovers here on the forum.....they may even have some answers for the questions that inevitably will pop up....

I wonder, if you wouldn't mind, Brian, that ham radio enthusiasts could express interest here in starting a thread for them?

If interest is purely about ham radio, it could be in Off Topic, if it incorporates options such as you have presented, we could find a spot for it in an existing category.

Just a thought

I have no problem at all with that idea, Chris

I made the post knowing that there are quite a few ham radio users/aficionados here at Linux.org

If they wish to huddle in a quiet corner and ham on to their hearts content, then that could only be a good thing.

Thanks @Condobloke for the link, It's interesting. there was another distro a number of years ago that had a good following among hams and was based upon Puppy linux but have lost the name in my foggy memory :) In any event would intrest me to have a little niche here for Ham Radio :) Been a Ham since 1966.
