Hey everyone. Got some weird things going on I just can not figure out. Running Kubuntu 24.04.1 LTS with Plasma 5.27
First issue:
Every single time I LOG OUT of Kubuntu, it goes to that weird screen I'm sharing in the third problem and just stays there forever. It NEVER actually restarts after I log out. Why? And how do I fix that?
Second issue:
I I had a theme called Edna installed. It would not install completely, so I got rid of it and switched back to Orchis. Love it. Only problem is, there seems to be some sort of residue leftover from that Edna theme? Everything in the entire DE has switched over to Orchis theme. But for some reason, Dolphin WM still has the Edna theme colors. It's a beautiful teal fade to blueish color. It's the highlight color. So any time you select a folder or part of the system, it highlights it in the teal/blue color. And I want that to go away and use my Orchis theme. But I can't figure out how or why it's still on my system?. I did a manual search of every place the theme could be on my drive and found nothing. Then used the Search button and typed in Edna to try and find any leftover files. I found one in usr/share/themes. But it would not let me delete it. So I googled how to use Terminal to delete a file and got rid of it! Hoorah. But nope, the Enda theme highlight still persists like a cockroach. How do I get rid of it? Here's what I'm talking about:
Third issue:
Then the third weird problem I'm having is in the startup phase. I turn my computer on, and it goes to my Grub boot menu which is the one below (which I modified to look nice. It's this Grub Theme here).
I chose Kubuntu from the Grub Boot Menu (this is just a stock photo of the Grub Theme, not my actual Grub Boot Menu) and then this weird ass screen pops up and stays there for about 2-3 secs, then my Motherboard BIOS screen comes up with the Kubuntu logo at the bottom for about 1 sec, then this crazy screen comes up again for like 5-7 secs, then finally Orchis Splash screen, then my Plasma Theme Log In screen. It also shows up when I logout or restart or shut down. What is it? Why is it there? And how do I get rid of it? Thank you
