Currently I am using Mint 14.1 and I am getting this message:

Note: Linux 32 and Ubuntu Precise will no longer be supported starting in March, 2016.

To use Google Chrome, your computer needs:
  • Ubuntu 12.04+, Debian 7+, openSUSE 13.1+, or Fedora Linux 21
  • An Intel Pentium 4 processor or later
  • 350MB of free disk space
  • 512MB of RAM
What do I need to upgrade to in order to continue using Chrome?

I have a 32 bit laptop and a 32 bit desktop. What would you suggest?

Ok, what distro do you recommend to upgrade to? But if 32 is being phased out is it worth it?

Basically, it seems that Google are leaving 32-bit users out in the cold.
That said, they have said that the 32-bit builds of Chromium - the open-source version of Chrome will still be available and will receive updates. So Chromium might be an alternative to Chrome. AFAIK The only things that are missing from Chromium are proprietary bits of code pertaining to DRM related stuff. So you probably won't be able to watch Netflix with Chromium... Other than that it should be more or less the same!
Also, existing Chrome installations on 32 bit machines will still function, they just won't receive any further updates!
