Ok....install again and see how it goes

I do apologise. I thought I typed the bios settings requirements into your thread/post......but it must have been another post somewhere else on the site here.

Yes, go into bios, and Disable Secure Boot. Also disable Fast Boot....(some call it fast start)

Then try installing again
I have also disabled Fast Boot.

Disabled Secure Boot . . . Disabled Fast Boot . . . Reinstalled Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon. Once I removed the usb and pressed enter, the laptop restarted and immediately, the same message appeared: GNU GRUB version 2.12.

We still have a few choices here..

in the bios, I believe there is also a setting to choose between MBR and UEFI

'Switch' it to uefi

Be sure to Save the changes

The uefi switch, may look like this

Turn it on

Another possibility....in bios....look for 'raid' settings......and set that to AHCI

While this user gets dumped to GrUB's CLI i think he should take benefit from it to investigate, starting with the variables. Or boot a LIVE Linux with HardInfo pre-installed and check a few basics, like MBR vs GPT, whatever, etc.
