Solved Gnome 46, Window is ready notification

Ubuntu 24.04.01, please refer to https://github.com/nunofarruca/WindowIsReady_Remover

I did :

sudo node ./extension.js

and get the following error message :

extension.js:3
import * as Main from 'resource:///org/gnome/shell/ui/main.js';
^^^^^^
SyntaxError: Cannot use import statement outside a module

Any idea, what to do, to install it ?

Just install it using the Gnome Extension Manager.

After installation of :

sudo apt install gnome-browser-connector

(refer to https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeShellIntegration/Installation)

I could install the respective extension :

After installation of :

sudo apt install gnome-browser-connector

Not sure what that is sounds like a way of being able to install extensions from the browser, not sure if that also manages extensions updates since I've never used that? From what I know Gnome Extension Manager is still the recommended way of installing extensions.

After installation of Gnome extension, get again no keyboard focus to txt-file, html-file, started via double click in nautilus.
Again : KDE uninstall/install with the result, after reboot, get keyboard focus (all ways Gnome, X11)
But after 3 days, again no keyboard focus (no boot during this time)
Now try to use Dolphin (KDE still installed), for SSH/fish Dolphin a bit to slow under Gnome.
Therefore nautilus for SSH, and Dolphin for the rest, to have no trouble with loss of keyboard focus after double click.

It is a bit a mess, but now I have no trouble with "to get keboard focus" on the pop up app window (like gedit, firefox) ..., but I have to wait, perhaps after three days again, I will loss the keyboard focus...it is like a grab bag,

An alternative would be, to remove Ubuntu 24.04.01, and to install Ubuntu Mate. But the new Ubuntu installation does not give the option, delete Ubuntu and install Mate next to windows.

No idea what you mean, but I'm not using Gnome anymore after a long time of using Gnome.

You can just install Ubuntu Server, it will be an installation without graphical environment and then afterwards you can just install mate.
