Hello lovely Linux people!

I have compiled, with my knowledge and using public posted snippets, a fun Telegram bot notification for server systems.
https://github.com/happycodinguk/telegram-system-monitor

Before I continue, let me say, if there are snippets which are yours. I am happy give credit where needed!

Secondly. I am not here for financial gain, nor am I here to take myself too seriously, there's a lot of highly strung people online nowadays :)

Am looking for someone, like minded who enjoys putting Open Source stuff out for all to enjoy.
With knowledge to assist in the development of the code!

So far what is there works well for the different notifications.
The install script took me quite a while and works on Debian 10.
Be good if someone could try this install out on a different OS.

I'm not attached to any of the script and I'm very happy for anyone to clone and move on with it!
The main thing I'm looking for here is to incorporate extra notifications than those achieved and streamline its execution.
Check the scripts meet the standards of good practice
.

Would love for someone to help incorporate CSF firewall notification to work with it.
Maybe by parsing logs? I'm currently looking into that.

On the install you can choose which notifications to install as some people may not want them all.
I think that's a good feature to keep.

Rest is flexible!

Install process info.

This script will install Telegram Messenger Notifications:

- Postfix Activity Reports
- Low Storage Alerts

- CPU and Memory Alerts

During install you will need to input:

- Which notifications you would like to setup.
- Which location you would like to install the scripts.
- Your telegram bot credentials.
- What percentage you would like to receive HD Storage alarm.
- Various reset times.
- Which partition you would like to monitor.
- Which system services you would like monitor.

I did chuckle at this greeting (below) on the website when I joined:

"Hello and welcome to Linux.org!

We're seeing a lot of questions posted via PM and/or personal profile pages. If you are looking to post a question, please post on the forum itself. You can always post in the Getting Started section if you aren't sure where to post"

You may be finding people are PM'ing because of those highly strung people I mentioned ;)
Its pandemic across the net.

Please be kind.

Namaste

Admins, if you'd like to move this post to a more appropriate forum board, go for it!

Stand down.

I have sorted CSF LFD alerts! Yippee.
Can do fail2Ban the same way.

Will add to git later....
