Hi!, Reciently, I started reading O'Reilly's Understanding the Linux Kernel (http://shop.oreilly.com/product/9780596005658.do), I'm by halft book and I would like to know how can I make the step from kernel 2.6 (Which the book writes about) to 3.12 or 3.11 (One of the lastest kernels).

Best Regards!

Well, that depends on what the book is talking about. Overall most of the kernel has not changed..in concepts anyway. However, new features have been added, hardware support has changed, scheduling has changed, the Network stack is changing, etc. Really hard to say what you can do to "translate" the old kernel information to the new.
