If I want to, how can I upgrade to 19.04 from 18.04 & skip 18.10 using the software updater?
You are right atanere my mistake. I removed my post. Those are called "point releases." With Ubuntu, they seem to issue one point release the same year as a new LTS version, and then two more point releases each in subsequent years. You can track their past releases here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases
LOL... not really a mistake. It is still the version number, the latest-greatest release of that version.my mistake
No, you didn't follow what I was saying and/or you didn't look at the link. All (recent) LTS versions come out in April (the ".04" part of the version). Their past practice has been ONE point release the same year as LTS release, so 18.04.1 came out last year. Their past practice shows TWO point releases in following years, for two years after the release. So 18.04.2 just came out, and there "should be" one more yet this year... that will be 18.04.3. Next year, 2020, will provide 18.04.4 and 18.04.5, if they continue with their past practice. They released 18.04.2 this year, so they'll release 18.04.3 next year, 18.04.4 in 2021, 18.04.5 in 2022?
