Hi, I was trying to change my operating system back to windows with a bootable usb drive, but apparently I need to format my hard drive to the NTFS format. I only have 1 hard drive but i'm a bit stuck because I can't figure out how to do it. I tried to format it to NTFS in the Disks application but i got an unmounting error.

Any help is appreciated, I'm not very experienced with linux

Many thanks.

I believe you can partition and format the disk using GParted.
The disk being worked on must not be in use at the time - thus the unmounting error.
A 'Live' disk image on USB of either GParted or a Linux distro which includes GParted should do the trick.
Simply boot the machine from the Live USB image and start the GParted application.

The 'Live' image (.iso) of Linux Mint 19.3 includes GParted. Or you could download the GParted image and create a 'bootable' USB from it.
