favorite CLI file manager

Having been using Ubuntu for quite some time, I have gotten away from using the CLI as much as I used to. I remember that when I first started using Linux, midnight commander was one of the lightest and more robust file managers avail in the CLI. Does anyone have any other favorites, and if so, why. I am looking to go more toward a CLI user platform on my system, and think that the file manager would be a good place to start.

Yes -- what is there besides MC? I do not know of anything better, myself!
:confused:

Oh, yeah, timothywcrane -- perhaps you may wish to reply to my threat on inxi and screenshot that was hijacked;
I do not think there is much interest in the powerful CLI amongst modern 'buntu users!
Sad but true.

A command line file manager? The joy of the command line is that it's so simple:

Want a list of files: type ls
Want for details: type ll (a pretty common alias for ls -l)

Why would you want a file manager when working on the command line?
