failed to update the initramfs (nvidia driver issue)

i don't exactly remember what i did for this to suddenly start happening so i resorted to coming here for answers. I've been watching a bunch of tutorials on getting the proprietary nvidia drivers to work with wayland and the last thing i remember doing that might have caused this is adding the following lines to my /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf file:

options nvidia-drm modeset=1
options nvidia "NVreg_UsePageAttributeTable=1"
options nvidia "NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1"
options nvidia "NVreg_TemporaryFilePath=/var/tmp"
options nvidia "NVreg_EnableS0ixPowerManagement=1"

help me pleaseeeee i really don't want to have to reinstall everything

i also created an /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf file right before my initramfs failed to update. i've been having issues with my second monitor not turning on. This isn't necessarily relevant to the issue with the initramfs but i just felt like getting it out there.
