Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life!
I'm in the hunt for a new PSU, this one still works, but I'd like to have a backup just in case. And every search I do all the results are "best PSU for gaming", like, why? I did find the PSU tier list, and cybernetics labs website, but still, they're for (mostly) gamers too!. And it's not just PSUs, it's everything; cpus, pc cases, gpus (I kind of get this one tho, but still), mouse, keyboard, hard drive, ram, chairs, desks, routers, fans (coolers), even the freaking thermal paste! THE THERMAL PASTE! And yeah, I'm aware you can take that as a reference, I mean, if you're not a gamer, and you're just not looking for "the best fps for your money", but the best (reliable, efficient) hardware parts you can get for your pc building, that is not RGB (hate those things). I guess I'm just old
But seriously, why do they have to make it all about gaming? Are gamers the ones willing to spend the most money? Is it because every "non-gaming-pc" is "ok for the average" person? Because most "average pc user" don't build their own PCs? Still, I consider myself an "average pc user", and I've built every pc I've owned because it's fun, you get better than a pre-built, and it's cheaper, too, in most cases, so I'd love to see recommendations for "average people" too, so they get "the best" they can get for their money, just not fps. I guess I'm just old
