The founder of an encrypted messaging app who left Australia for Switzerland after police unexpectedly visited an employee’s home says he left because of Australia’s “hostile” stance against developers building privacy-focused apps.

I have written some scramblers that secure messages. Been waiting for the authorities to come around asking for back doors. I support the privacy movement. Oh wait, I have to go I think I see a line of black SUVs pulling up to say hello.

Using Session for some time now and really happy with this messenger. However running chrome for desktop session is not acceptable for me so just staying with Session on my phone.
