School starts sunday. Waiting for the classes to be published on Canvas. In the meantime my Network+ teacher is emailing us. The book he wants us to use is called Linux Feild Manual and to download any….and he all caps that word….deb distro. He’s stated he will teach us the “Comptia way” but since he worked at IBM and CISCO he is going to teach us real life situations that the test will never cover. I am excited and thrilled. Then he read through some of the IT Portal for all the students and blew a gasket at some of the other students and teachers who are in their 3rd year of CS. There is no reason for anyone to download and work with KALI or PARROT or CSI LINUX until they get to the cybersecurity part! They were setting up the newer students in year one (me) to fail and drop out due to how those are NOT beginner friendly.
I am sitting here with popcorn and watching this S@#$@show unfold. Yes, he is a new professor fresh from CISCO. Giggles.
off to order LFM. snorts….
Jonica
PS. Ubuntu is working amazing and so fast! Windows 10 last semester on this desktop was a slow process to even load anything. I’m in love!
