This software was brought to my attention somewhere (maybe here even, past my bed time now), but since I have become super conscious about cyber security, I checked it up in a sandbox and via virustotal (in Windows). This is what came out of it. Only two vendors out of all. False positive? It was from https://www.diskgenius.com/free.php. I searched for it in this forum, found it mentioned once some 4 years ago. Wondering whether it is safe still? Anyone using it?

After a read through their web page, I would consider it totally unnecessary....window dressing.
I see no mention of Linux on their website, which would lead me to believe it is suitable only for windows.

What particular use did you have for it? There are many apps already included in most Linux distros that will achieve all those things...backup, partition resizing etc etc

Just type into google "diskgenius linux alternative", and so for every Windows program you used to care about.
Many Windows software are Windows only and don't work on Linux.
In same way those VT reports are thus also Windows only.

I am still having an SSD with Win11 I had installed on the laptop I bought lately. I want to have it as an backup, for future, if I needed it. I do plan to use Linux as my main system over time, but I am not ready to go cold turkey on Windows yet. So I was just wondering, if I scan any such software this way and it shows this warning, whether it really is risky or I should ignore it if everyone else let it pass.

There are many times false positives on virus total which under the hood runs many anti-viruses, usually because the software in question does something at system level and these calls are seen as potentially malicious by some anti-viruses.
You'll notice that it's mostly the same AV's doing this.
A general rule is you need at least 3-6 detections for a file to be considered malware.
In your case the file is unlikely to be malware because only 2 detections and the program in question needs elevated privileges to disk so it's likely false positive.
