Trying to figure out compatibility here with Dell PE servers. Will buy either refurbished 13th or 14th generation 1U (or 2U) servers. Servers will be used for VPS hosting, virtualization (KVM) using Virtualizor software.

System: 1U Dell EMC Server or 2U if necessary

CPU: Dual Intel Xeon 20+ Cores
RAM: 512GB (or 1TB)
Raid: software raid for best performance
Network Card: Intel X520 for 10G connectivity
Rails: Sliding
PSU: Dual 1100 Watts
Remote Access: iDRAC Enterprise License

Questions:

Would this drive be compatible and how many disks max can this server accept? Is there a max TB disk capability too?

Samsung 970 EVO Plus or Inland Platinum 8TB NVMe SSD M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 3.0x4

Ultimately, this is what I'm looking for:
- speediest SSD NVMe disks
- 32TB or 64TB of disk space
- no hw raid is fine, prefer performance over redundancy for virtualization platform
- mixed SATA 8 x 8TB SSD + 2 or 4 NVMe PCI based SSDs would be even better.

What would your recommended refurbished Dell server vendor be?

I've been looking between Orange Computers, Entera, SaveMyServer.

I was just recently looking up renting a used server (haven't bit the bullet yet) but (and I can't find the page in my history) a recent 2U Dell EMC PowerEdge could hold up to 16 x 2.5" drives. Some additional reading led me to believe they capped out at being able to address 64 TB of data. The models I checked out in my budget range didn't support NVMe, so that's not something I gave any thought to.

I wasn't looking to purchase, so I have no help there - though I'd be reluctant to mention a specific vendor either way. If your purchasing process went awry, that'd reflect poorly on me. That's not something I want. I worked pretty hard to get this reputation.
