Hi,

One of our applications uses huge pages for its shmem, mounted through a hugetblfs.
When the application is running, one of our colleagues deleted the hug table file. Clearly, not something that we should be doing but what followed next was that the whole server crashed. It was non ping-able and had to be physically rebooted.
This happened a couple of times.
There were no traces on the kernel or any other system components complaining.
I was wondering if there was a way to find out what exactly caused the machine to go down, curiosity all be it.

Thanks.
