How do I delete my account?

I answered this the same way last night, but deleted it after I re-read it.

I don't have a use for this account anymore, as you can see in my profile I created it in 2013, but never used it. I've seen elsewhere that people ask staff to delete accounts, so do I have to ask them to do so?
