Crash after installing OS

Can I just put it after the quiet splash -- or do I need to replace it?

You can just place it after quiet and splash.

Tried both and neither worked, a pacman 141 error flashed in my screen briefly with the first one.

Dont know if this will help, I have a little ZG5 which has an older version of the Atom chip, [32bit] it would not run mint Cinnamon or mate desktops, XFCE was better, but on the end i found Peppermint worked first time [a new version of peppermint is due out but is late] peppermint uses the XFCE desktop
