sir i want to delete Debian 10.5.0 that i have on my USB. i am using debian 10 on my pc.how can i clean my USB?

ok once installed it should be in the menu ; you will be using it as root.

once fired up there a drop down . in my picture you will see it displays /dev/sda i do not want to play with that , so on clicking drop down i look for the usb stick .

you will see on 2nd image its highlighted blue because i mouse left clicked to select it.

Now in the gParted menu Device-> create partition table

make sure usb stick is in state of "being unmouted"

you will then see this .

click apply

yes icon will disappear from Desktop but you will be able to work with gParted. Icon won't show until you give it a label

go through the process you should end up with a formated stick with fat32 and label you give it.

Don't forget to click that green "apply" or it won't finish the work

From there you can either use it for storeage OR you now use ventoy which will format it to how ventoy wants it.

ok left click on icon on Desktop, that will mount it , test by drag and drop something. Mine auto mounts as "normal user"
