Connection to localhostDB

Hi guys. I'm fairly new to linux and having problem with my JetBrains Rider. I am trying to create a ASP.NET Core MVC Application with Entity Framework. I can add a migration but I cannot create the database. I get an error message "localdb is not supported on this platform". Please help with this anyone.
