Hello, I have a strange issue here.

On my ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, when I attempt to connect to my mobile phone to use the mobile as a wifi hotspot, it keeps asking for the password, although the password is correct and the security type is correct also.

The phone hotspot works fine, as I can connect to it with my HP laptop, and the ubuntu wifi adaptor works as I can connect to home and work wifi fine with it.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

I don't know if all phones work the same, but back when I had a works smartphone, to make the initial connection between the laptop and phone the phone created the code to put into the laptop...hope that makes sense.

I have the code to connect, as i say, I can with another laptop, it just will not connect with ubuntu, so wondered if there is a quirk here somewhere which someone here has seen before.

The laptop I put Mint on, works fine with my hotspot, so might try Mint on this Linx1010b and see if it works, as I really need to be able to connect to the hotspot for this to work out.
