Hey everyone, moving on to my next project ... Conky desktop widget theme. Just trying to install one of these simple date/time/temp themes and finally figure out how to get it installed. Now the problem is, ALL of the themes I have, NEVER change their background. You select the edit button and chose any Transparency: transparent, semi-transparent, pseudo-transparent or opaque, and set it to 0%, which is the highest transparency, and it stays black no matter what I do. I've messed with every single possible setting and nothing changes. It's always black or a color, never transparent.
I did a bit of googling and saw some people had to change the Config file for that theme to: "own_window_argb_visual = true" to true if it was false to correct the situation. Or change: "own_window_transparent = true" to true if it was false to correct the situation. In all cases, my themes already shows true. I don't know what is going on with this thing. Videos show it being SUPER easy to install and setup how you like.
Anyone know why this could be happening? I'm on Kubuntu 24.04.1 LTS with Plasma 5.27. Installed all prerequisites and everything is up to date. Followed this guys exact instructions, as he makes all of the themes I'm interested in.Thanks

Did MORE googling, found some tiny little thread for Manjaro people having the same problem and this person said to change the config file part that says: own_window_type = 'desktop' to 'normal'. And low and behold it worked! Hallelujah
