Howdy. So I've tried Zorin, meh, now on Mint 21.3 cinn, better but still compatibility issues with bluetooth&audio. Now thinking a KDE distro like kubuntu. From what I read&see it seems to have more options, configure wise. I'll note I'm using an Avid MBox mini interface with my beast of almost 14 yrs old. I will add some specs but with that, any suggestions, tips, and perhaps best kernel to use for my HW? THANK YOU!-- , CPU:

Linux Mint 22

As for the hardware compatibility issues, I forget the name but there's a distro that @Brickwizard frequently recommends. Someone will remember, or he'll sign in eventually and see this ping.

I think I remembered the name.

MX Linux AHS - stands for Advanced Hardware Support

Here's a link to the various downloads, you should be able to figure out which one is which:

beast of almost 14 yrs old.
AHS won't help much on a 2011 machine,
looking down your specs its showing an Apple FaceTime built-in camera and a USB camera, if correct you will need to disable the built-in one or it may interfere with the USB one,
there is one peripheral that may benefit from AHS, and that is the Digidesign Avid Mbox Mini type: [ depending on age] I have read older models work fine with Mint LMDE, or Mint 22 with cinnamon DE
