Hello peeps.
I am a back-up freak and so I tried to automate cloning process to create a file just to click on as on the desktop and run it like a .bat file (on Windows), but in LMDE. I somewhat succeeded with the help of the chatbot, the file launched the action but didn't complete it, the problem was that it never read the destination size the way it was, equal to the source: both 1TB drives. I was able to clone the whole nvme to this external SSD via Rescuezilla with no issues, repeatedly. But when doing it with this file, it read the destination size smaller than it was, like 912GB instead of 931GB (or GiB, always confused about those, amateur here).
Is there any remedy? The chat bot tried all possible advice (including reducing the size of my main nvme to fit into smaller estimated external drive, which I refused to do for obvious reasons), but it didn't lead to success. I am back to Rescuezilla and cloning that way, on the same external drive, no issues.
