Hi,
I am setting up come monitoring using Centreon and a Centos server and I have got stuck.
The network I am monitoring has Servers on two IP address ranges 172.16.0.0/16 and 10.1.0.0/24 and I need to be able to monitor both sets of servers from the same device.
I have set up the Centos device to minitor the 172.16 network with out any problems and I have now turned my attention to the other network, to this end I have added a second interface to the Server and assigned an IP address, subnet, but no gateway.
When I restart the network I can ping servers on the 2nd network, for around 20 seconds, and then the ping stops responding, if I restart the network again, I get teh same again.
What am I missing?
Thanks for any help given.

I believe you need to setup a second routing table for the second subnet / adapter.

it's been a while since I've done anything like this, but look up iproute2 command and how to set up a second routing table.

A quick Google search turned up this article about setting it up.

Good luck.

Hi,
Stupid as it sounds, I disabled the NIC in VMWare and re-enabled it and it has started working now.
Thanks for your help with this.
