I'm still somewhat new to The Slackware Way. I've been visiting SlackBuilds.org which seems to be one of the more basic ways to get applications. Or at least pre-built scripts that handle making them from the Source Code. Chromium was fairly simple just being 1 Slackbuild + SourceFile. I just finished building Gparted which required building other dependencies first. (Log in to hide this advertisement) I just wondered if there are other options I should be aware of. I suppose if I wanted to, I could have made a clever Shell Script to handle getting everything for Gparted off of Slackbuilds and installing the built packages. I guess there is another command called Slackpkg and I'm not quite sure what that is good for. Also, might it be possible to be a lazy Slacker and install the Slapt-Get command like the one in SalixOS from here: http://software.jaos.org ? If I have a system using different methods like Slackbuilds, Slackpkg, and Slapt-Get, could these different install methods cause a kind of instability problem or confusion?
