Brother hl-1110 printer not working

hello i have got a hl-1110 printer and i put a new toner in and it prints a test page but there is no print on it?
i did a debug and got this,any ideas please?
i did see a sudo command to restart cups which i did but still not printing.

switch off, remove the usb cable, switch on and when booted plug the usb cable back, switch on the printer in and let the computer re boot the printer [this usually cures it] if it wi-fi try going to your printer in the menu, select and delete the existing drivers, switch on printer and it should automatically find it, if not use add printer from the drop-down menu.

I have an HL-1112. Which distro are you using, on what computer? Have you downloaded the "driver" from Brother? https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=gb&lang=en&prod=hl1110_us_eu_as

i am using mx linux and i downloaded the driver from brother,i did a diagnostic and it said cups is not connected?

i print a test page but just a blank page comes out.

I saw something on the net about pressing the power button 3 times,I did that and it has printed the printer settings,I will try again tomorrow.
