Looks like a lot going on there.
It could be hardware interrupts in the kernel.

Lot's of drivers shown in the screenshot. I'm not well versed in Kali sorry I can't help more.

Our member @Brickwizard is running Parrot so he may know what you have going on.

If your not well versed in Linux then Kali is not the distro for you. There own Developers state that.
As the distribution’s developers, you might expect us to recommend that everyone should be using Kali Linux. The fact of the matter is, however, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testers and security specialists, and given its unique nature, it is NOT a recommended distribution if you’re unfamiliar with Linux or are looking for a general-purpose Linux desktop distribution for development, web design, gaming, etc.

If you have limited time with Linux I would suggest you start with a different distro.
Sorry can't be of much help with your boot problem but I'm sure someone will be along.

As most of us older members know, you need to be Linux experienced and terminal competent before even trying to install Kali.
and you must read the docs first [I know there are a lot of them but you need to understand what Kali is about and what can be done with it.]

as for why its not working, more information on the machine and how it has been installed my help, but in general ....

Why Linux fails to load/install direct to HDD, common reasons
1] Corrupt download [check SHA sum]
2] bad burn to installation medium [try again] [if you used Rufus then try Balena Etcher]
3] if your machine had/has Wind 8.2 and higher quick start/fast boot or secure boot not disabled in the BIOS/UEFI [doesn't normally apply to older versions] and full power restart before installing
4] defective pen-drive/DVD
5] hardware fault,
5A] If old style HDD run integrity check
5B]if SATA SSD check for hidden partition at the beginning of drive [this will stop Grub from loading] and delete it before re-installing Linux
If M2.NVMe check, your system is NVMe compatible [not all older kit is]

I am not familiar with trace but your screenshot shows the end of trace with usual list of modules. Not informative at all unfortunately.
Also, knowing your hardware may help to help you. :)
Nevertheless, try live version (if available or use diffetemt distro live) and or change kernel.

Good luck

Hello @ave
The following output on your machine shown in post #1:
Code:
kworker/3:1[54] exited with irqs disabled
means that some hardware on the machine has been disabled by the kernel. That could be for many reasons such as a conflict between two hardware items, broken hardware or hardware connection problems. The machine cannot really operate without interrupts which basically tell the kernel when a bit of hardware is available so that the kernel can direct activity to it.

Other than that, perhaps go through the list @Brickwizard posted in post #4 to discount any of those factors in the problem.
