Best way for Newbie to install a Linux Mint 19.1 download from Linux.org

Hello to All,
I have finally decided to download and install Linux after a good number of year of consideration.
I chose Linux Mint 19.1 and have completed the download.
Now I would like to install it. I am not a techie; hence this is way I waited so long to switch to Linux.
Is there a way for me to continue to use Google Chrome for my work and use Linux for myself?
The download seems complete, however, I would like to do the installation now. Where do I click and what steps do I take?

I prefer using a DVD although others prefer to use a USB Thumb Drive.

What brand and model of PC do you have ?...as many specs as possible please.
