I was looking to make a “custom” distro for my crappy laptop and I was wondering which one is better.
I have a Celeron and 4g of ram and 32/64g of storage if that helps, I know.

your description ""my crappy laptop"" isn't helpful the make and full model number would be,

are you experienced using Linux based systems ? as compiling a custom distro from scratch is not quick or as easy as you may think,
you can modify almost all distributions to suite your needs

Addendum,, try looking at one of the Arch derivatives [manjaro for example] if you are new to linux, you will probable get more help/support using an arch based build than the others you mentiond
