Phew... just went through the Wikipedia article.

Can somebody explain to me what this means for the end-user? Is it recommended to enable automatic microcode updates? Just got a Intel Xeon machine and am about to put Antergos on, so it might concern me...

Just install the package. All this does is make sure the kernel is using the newest CPU drivers essentially.
