appeared black screen when booting slackware linux

it takes me whole day , idont know how to do
i use unetbootin to make a usb live cd, installed successfully included elilo
and black screen when i reboot,
and when i booting use single mode, appeared like this:

VFS: cannot open root device "(uuid=xxxxxx-xxxx-xxx-xxxxxx-xxx)" or unknown-block(0,0)l error-6
plz append a correct "root=" boot option; here is the available partitions
0000 sda
0001 sda1 uuid=xxxxxx-xxxx-xxx-xxxxxx-xxx
0002 sda2 uuid=xxxxxx-xxxx-xxx-xxxxxx-xxx
0003 sda3 uuid=xxxxxx-xxxx-xxx-xxxxxx-xxx
Kernel panic - not syncing : VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

who can tell me why, in vmware , it's all be fine ,
however in my yoga pro 2 , it does not work thx for ur reply:(

Um..... This is the second time I saw you say this..... Where do you think those "tutorials" come from......? ._, I may be wrong, but..... You're not being helpful, just lazy..... ._.

Hmmm..... I may be wrong, but I would check the File System in the VM, using GParted, and then compare that to THIS Installation..... :) I say this because I've always EXT2 and or EXT3.....! :D I'm sure others will give you better answers than I can..... I'm not all that knowledgeable about the inner workings of Linux, despite being pretty good (ok, decent), with C..... :\ Anyway, if you could let us know what File System your VM uses, I think that could go a long way in getting this sorted out!..... :D
