Alternatives to i7z?

I prefer reading CPU clock speeds from hardware rather than software, as they are actually more "real" than reading from /proc/cpuinfo. I use I7z and it is a great CPU monitoring tool, except that it is a bit old now and doesn't report values that accurately on newer processors. And I also wished it showed package power by itself rather than me using a different program for that. What good alternatives are there similar to I7z? Note that many hardware monitoring programs read the clock speeds from the kernel, but I need to from the hardware level.
 


I know about it, but it has such a crap UI. I7z is so neat.
Well, you care about modern software, versatility and functionality of a software over convenient UI.
What's the point of a shiny UI if behind the scene there is a decade old vintage code that nobody maintains any longer?

I would not judge software by it's look but rather by it's function which is all that matters for a power user.
