The recent patch has apparently affected more than just hard drive buffering. I am getting sporadic crashes of previously stable games and lutris-run applications, albeit not common and most certainly not triggered by the same... "stimuli" . Even my bash scripts are having trouble accessing and writing data. Until now I was perfectly content for "root" being the owner of all my mounted drives since I had read/write permissions anyway. I've assumed ownership of said drives and will see over time if that alleviates the problem. I will keep investigating.
Even all the relevant tabs appear to have gone native on me, replacing its iconic logo with the platform it is based upon. Identity crisis?
