Accessing existing Linux partitions from Windows Using WSL

I was wondering.

you dual boot Windows and a certain distro of Linux. Now Since windows doesn't recognize file system partitions created by Linux, can the Windows Sub-system for Linux (WSL) if enabled be able to find and possibly mount the Linux partitions that are otherwise hidden from Windows? It doesn't matter if the partition doesn't show up in Explorer but if only it could be accessed from the WSL.

Is that possible, and if so how can it be done?
