So my problem is, that I want to share my internet connection from my old laptop (connected via Wlan) to my desktop (only an Ethernet interface) by connecting them both via a LAN cable. The Gnome method didn't work for me and I did not understand the command line stuff. I would like if anyone could help me. I heard, that with certain methods certain things do not work anymore (like Games do not work anymore, because IP stuff and you can't use the internet on the sharing pc anymore). Thanks in advance.

Edit: I use Fedora 30

Oh, I looked trough so many tuts, that I overlooked, that some were mentioning, that you need a crossover cable.

I made one myself.

EVERYTHING works

There's nothing dumb about solving your own problems. Well done!
