PowerPC Power9, Not cheap, over $10k a unit. But I was really impressed with the speed.
If I win the lotto anytime soon, I would go with a few of these. Not all Linux distro's support PowerPC, but I was definitely surprised.

Maybe having a break from the usual Intel i9m and AMD Ryzen isn't a bad option.

I think my break from x86 will be to move to ARM.
 
arm soc's are getting more and more capable. I used to be big into gaming but as the years go on I've lost interest in the AAA titles. almost everything I do is browser related these days and an arm cpu can easily handle that.
 
Nice machine but I doubt I would ever have one at that price.
 
Yeah a bit pricey for something I can do with desktops I already own.

It is a nice desktop.

I'm probably going to bite the bullet, swallow some vomit, and buy an Apple device - once there's greater Linux support for it.

That M4 CPU is amazing. I've also been a bit of a closet fan of RISC for quite a long time.
